Los rumores estaban en lo cierto: Metal Gear Solid 3 recibirá un remake. Hoy se ha anunciado oficialmente en el PlayStation Showcase, aunque con un tráiler cinemático que casi nos ha dejado con más dudas de las que teníamos antes. En el evento, Konami también ha confirmado otro rumor más reciente: las tres primeras entregas de la saga Metal Gear Solid se relanzarán este otoño en PS5.
El remake se llamará oficialmente Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. También se ha confirmado que además de a PS5 también llegará a PS5 y Xbox Series X/S, tal y como apuntaban los rumores.

Aunque todavía hay poca información al respecto, desde medios como IGN se están recogiendo detalles adicionales que hablan de que el remake Metal Gear Solid 3 será muy fiel al original, contando incluso con los mismos diálogos y voces (incluyendo a David Hayter como Snake en la versión en inglés). Evidentemente se espera un salto en la calidad gráfica, audiovisual en general, aunque todavía no conocemos el nombre del estudio que está trabajando en actualizar la obra de Hideo Kojima.
Una nueva colección de Metal Gear Solid
En cuanto a la nueva recopilación, se pondrá a la venta con el nombre de 'Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1' e incluirá las tres entregas principales de la serie: podremos volver a jugar a Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty y a Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater en sus versiones originales (imaginamos que remasterizadas, aunque no se ha confirmado por el momento). Estará disponible para PS5 en otoño y su nombre invita a pensar que veremos más volúmenes con otras entregas también adaptadas a las nuevas plataformas.
